This Thursday, on International Workers Day, May 1st,  immigrants play to walk out in dozens of cities across the United States. Unions and other groups are also organizing massive protests.

However, the mainstream press isn’t covering these protests at all.

In early February Payday Report tracked smaller “Day Without Immigrants” strikes in 120 cities and 40 states in early February, neither The Washington Post, The New York Times, CNN, or any of the big three media networks did.

But, if we don't get coverage on these actions, they likely won't get much support.

Donate to help us cover these actions and inspire more of them.

Much like how Payday helped to change the narrative about nontraditional walkouts during the pandemic, our strike tracking is helping build momentum for this massive May Day strike. The Washington Post credited Payday Report for changing the narrative on the pandemic strike wave, and we hope to do the same with the coming wave this May.

In order to cover workers walking out on May Day, we are going to need your help.

Donate to help cover the massive walkouts and protests on May Day.
