Two Trade Unionist Dead in Attack on German Picket Line
In Germany, two union members and 28 people are injured after a car attacked a picket line held by the Verdi union in Munich. The workers had been rally for better working conditions or childcare workers.
“This is a difficult moment for all colleagues. We unions stand for solidarity, especially in such a dark hour.” Frank Werneke, the union’s chair, told The Independent.

North Carolina Amazon Workers Vote on Union
In North Carolina, 4,000 Amazon workers are voting on whether to unionize this week. Facing South has an interview with the lead organizer Reverend Ryan Brown, of Carolinians United for Solidarity and Empowerment, an independent union.
“CAUSE is just getting started. Across the country, the South, and North Carolina, Amazon workers are rising. We will not stop until every job at Amazon is a good union job,” Brown told Facing South.

DC Traffic Back as 17,000 Workers Drive to Office with Only 4,000 Parking Lots
Finally, in Washington, D.C., rush hour traffic has increased greatly as more workers return to the office.
“This is amazing because I haven’t seen this much of a backup in about three years,” one worker told WRC-TV. “I hope people are ready for it. I hope they bring their patience with them.”
