As a self-employed person, I have no paid holidays. So this year, if you could donate a few bucks to help me take a few days off for the holidays.

Trump Reassures Business Critics of Labor Sec Pick
Last week, Trump surprised many when he tapped one-term Oregon Congresswoman Lori Chavez-DeRemer to be Secretary of Labor. Caught in a tight re-election in a Democratic-leaning district, she was one of only 3 Republicans, who sponsored the PRO Act to crack down union busting.

Now, according to Bloomberg Businessweek, Trump is trying to reassure “alarmed” business leaders by assuring them that he will pick a more business-friendly appointee to run the day-to-day operations of the Department as Deputy Secretary of Labor.

Bolsonaro Masterminded Plan to Kill Lula
Today, the Brazilian federal police released a 884 page report, which outlined the plot to kill Lula. According to the report, former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro was the mastermind of the plot to kill Lula.
“The evidence obtained over the course of the investigation shows unequivocally that the then president Jair Messias Bolsonaro planned, took action and had direct and effective control of the executory acts carried out by the criminal organization that sought to execute a military coup and dismantle the rule of law, something that did not occur as a result of circumstances beyond his control,” concluded the report.

U.S. Farm Groups Want Trump to Spare Their Workers From Deportation
While Trump has said he will deport potentially millions of immigrants, major agriculture interests in the United States are already protesting such a plan.
"We need the certainty, reliability and affordability of a workforce program and programs that are going to allow us to continue to deliver food from the farm to the table,” John Hollay, director of government relations at the International Fresh Produce Association, which represents produce farmers, told Successful Farming.

On Black Friday, Amazon Workers to Walk Out Internationally
Finally, on Black Friday, Amazon workers in both the United States and Europe plan to walk out in protest of exploitative labor practices. The walkout marks the 4th time that workers across the globe have walked out en masse on Black Friday.
“Bezos’s company has spent untold millions to stop workers from organizing, but the strikes and protests happening around the world show that workers’ desire for justice – for union representation – can’t be stopped,” Christy Hoffman, the general secretary of UNI Global Union told The Independent. “We stand united in demanding that Amazon treat its workers fairly, respect fundamental rights, and stop undermining the systems meant to protect us all.”
