The Guardian Previews Melk's New Book on the 1945 GI World Series at Hitler's Nuremberg Stadium

Folks,

I am working on some major stories, including a comprehensive, long-form package on the anti-fascist movement, complete with accompanying videos, but I have some really big news!!!!!

The Guardian today previewed my new book on "1945 GI World Series at Hitler's Nuremberg Stadium and Baseball's Double Victory Against Rascism at Home and Aboard"

The Guardian on Melk's newest book on the 1945 Gi World Series at Nuremberg

Thanks yinz for all the support. This book is particularly important at a time when we have many lessons to draw from the black and white solidarity during the Double V Campaign of World War Two.

It was an honor to be described by the Guardian as both a "labor reporter and baseball writer". Not many publications would let their labor reporter moonlight as an occasional baseball writer, but thankfully, my readers have allowed me to do it for years. Massive thanks to Phil Moon.

If you haven't, set aside a half hour (lol!!) and read my 8,000-word research paper presented at the Baseball Hall of Fame entitled "The 1945 GI World Series in Hitler’s Nuremberg Stadium: Baseball’s ‘Double Victory’ Against Segregation at Home and Abroad"

We'll have more later on the union drive at Volkswagen in Chattanooga.

Love & Solidarity,

Melk
