Folks,
Good news, this Giving Tuesday a reader has offered to match all donations to Payday Report up to a total of $500. Combined, we could raise $1,000 today - money that is sorely needed to cover our increase in health care costs. We will put the money to great use.
We are continuing to cover efforts to fight back against immigration raids. We have a new program of assisting immigrant rights groups in formulating newsletters and their own independent media content.
Last month, Chattanooga Volkswagen workers voted to authorize a strike. After 12 years of covering them, I am super excited to cover this battle. (See our story "Following Strike Vote, Volkswagen Chattanooga Workers Build Momentum")
This month, we wrote about how frivolous lawfare tactics caused the UAW to pay three Zionist union members $315,000. We plan to do an in depth look at how Zionists are using costly lawfare tactics to try to dissuade unions from taking up Palestinian solidarity.
We are working on a big story about how school bus drivers are fighting outsourcing.
Finally, we are doing a HUGE event for the Pittsburgh premiere of the hit Brazilian film The Secret Agent. (Check out event details and read our story “The Secret Agent is Another Brazilian Box Office Hit that Shows Americans How to Fight Fascists”)
All of this, and not to mention covering breaking news and putting out 2-3 newsletters a week. Our labor reporting is crucial, and we have done a lot together - lets keep going.
We have been nominated for an Emmy, covered Lula all the way from Sáo Bernardo dos Campos to the Oval Office, published more than 1,300 articles, and were credited by The Washington Post as being the first publication to systematically track the post-pandemic strike wave.
