Folks,
Recently, I was diagnosed with sleep apnea. For years, I've struggled with sleep, waking up multiple times in the night, and feeling exhausted the next day. This is because I am not getting enough oxygen when I sleep.
The good news is that there is a treatment available by using a CPAP breathing machine, which will help me breathe more easily during sleep.
The bad news is that my deductible won't cover the full cost of a CPAP breathing machine. A lower-end breathing machine costs approximately $600, while more expensive models can exceed $1,000.
As a labor reporter, times are tight right now, and it's a significant expense for me to cover.
However, with better sleep, I could cover the movement even better. Therefore, I am asking my readers to help me cover the cost of a CPAP breathing machine so that I can get a good night's sleep and do better work as a labor reporter.
We have been nominated for an Emmy, covered Lula all the way from Sáo Bernardo dos Campos to the Oval Office, published more than 1,400 articles, and were credited by the Washington Post as being the first publication to systematically track the post-pandemic strike wave.
If I could sleep more, I could do even more.
