Angered Over World Series TV Ads, Trump Increases Tariffs on Canada

Yesterday, Payday reported on how Trump was angered over anti-tariff TV ads that were running during the World Series.

The Ontario government has been airing TV ads directed at American audiences that denounce the tariffs that Trump has placed on Canada, quoting Ronald Reagan. The ads have so upset Trump that he canceled scheduled trade talks between the two countries.

Today, Trump announced that he would increase tariffs on Canada by 10% in response to the World Series TV ads.

“Because of their serious misrepresentation of the facts, and hostile act, I am increasing the Tariff on Canada by 10% over and above what they are paying now. Thank you for your attention to this matter!" Trump said in an announcement today.
