Folks,
Greetings from the Burgh, where Payday is trying desperately to diversify our social media and grow our email list.
Help Hire Social Media Assistant to Diversify Payday’s Audience
Over the past year, Payday has seen a more than 60% decrease in our traffic on twitter as progressives flee the Elon Musk-owned platform. Then today, Facebook blocked Payday from posting a story on the dockworkers, claiming that our post was false.
Both incidents underscore the need for Payday to diversify our social media following and grow our email list. We are hoping to hire a part-time social media assistant to do this, but need your help.

There are more than 45,000 dock workers on strike on the East Coast, 32,000 Boeing workers in Washington State, and 5,000 Kansas private jet workers. Likewise, 500 aerospace workers are on strike in Michigan and 800 Philly arena workers. Additionally, there are several other strikes going on that Payday Report is tracking.

UAW Tells Stellantis Employees to Prepare for a Strike
Now, nearly 40,000 Stellantis UAW members are expected to vote to strike to oppose outsourcing and plant closures that they say are in violation of the union contract.
Last week, more than 200 Stellantis UAW local leaders unanimously recommended a strike at Stellantis. Now, in a letter to the rank-and-file at Stellantis, the union’s top leaders are urging that they authorize a strike.
“For years, the company picked us off plant-by-plant and we lacked the means and will to fight back,” read the letter. “Now, today is different. Because we stood together and demanded the right to strike over job security.”

Striking Boeing Machinists to Lose Healthcare
As the Boeing strike enters its 3rd week, more than 32,000 Boeing workers will see their health insurance terminated. Union members say that they have saved up and prepared to fight back.
"I'm 50 years old. I've been working since I was 16," Boeing worker Robert Silverman told KING5. "I've been saving for a long time. From day one in my hiring process, they told us about this day, they said to be ready."
